Here is a new miniature painting fresh off the table: Island Shores (measuring a tiny 1.75 x 5.25 inches small).

This scene is of the east coast of Gabriola Island, a truly wonderful place to visit and walk around. The many layers of beach debris, driftwood and stone make for a pleasant afternoon of beach-combing.

This little painting was fun to do. “Afternoon At The River” is a tiny, 2.5 x 2 inch miniature painting of a favourite place to visit in Pitt Meadows, BC. I’ve included a series of images illustrating how the painting came together. The image is painted in acrylic, on a paperboard surface.

Here is a new miniature painting of the train tracks near Transfer Beach in Ladysmith, BC. Two little mule deer are heading off into the bushes at the side. This tiny painting measures only 2.25 x 4 inches.

Thanks to Peninsula Gallery, some of my miniature paintings will now be available with small frames. These frames fit comfortably in the palm of one hand and measure only a few inches in size. This waterfall scene is one that I painted from a trip to the Scottish highlands a few years ago, and is available at the gallery. The featured image for this post is a scene from Ladysmith, which I was working on during the demo last weekend, and will be sending to Peninsula Gallery soon!
